Flew from Cairns, Queensland to Perth, Western Australia diagonally across the continent, passing over Uluru (Ayers Rock) and stopping to refuel in Alice Springs, Northern Territory. The jet had an amazingly short takeoff duration, lofting into the air in rocket-like fashion, however, the cabin was quiet, turbulence non-existent, with clear views of an exceptional landscape!

Returning north through Perth onward to the dessert! Likely one of the hottest days ever experienced—dry heat that is—not like Singapore’s heat/humidity (the other kind of hot!)
